The projects aim was to update the signs in COOP's stores. Specifically Kvickly. The test store was Kvickly Vericentret in Aarhus, Denmark. All the stores already have A2 printers and a huge database of product images is available. This lead to the idea of combining these to create more a more interesting sign concept that would engage customers by making it easier to find things and also drawing attention to the products. A common design line was created and variations of it would be made to make it easy for customers to find what they are looking for throughout the store - in line with the brands that the supermarket carries and also with the opportunity for external companies to market themselves as a continuation of their efforts in TV, etc.. Software was planned to create these signs automatically.
